The Index of Consumer Confidence rose 8.5 points in March to 92.2 (2014 = 100). It was the second consecutive gain for the index. Still, given the significant declines recorded in December and January, the index remains weak relative to its 2014 average.

The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.
