Many newcomers to Canada find themselves working jobs that don’t fit. This webpage introduces a project that will look at immigrant skill mismatch and wastage in three sectors with acute labour shortages: health, construction, and accommodation and food services sectors.

What challenges do immigrants face in each of these sectors? Which Canadian cities or regions are leading the way in filling skill gaps with immigrant talent? How can we align talent to skill gaps to build the workforce of tomorrow?
