The Conference Board of Canada’s Composite Leading Index fell 0.6 points to 112.1 (2010 = 100) in April. The decline suggests that economic growth will decelerate six months from now. The decline ended a string of four consecutive monthly increases, but the index’s elevated level is still good news going forward.
