Compensation Planning Outlook is an annual survey on compensation and human resources practices in Canada conducted by The Conference Board of Canada. In June 2016, a questionnaire was sent to 2,245 predominantly large and medium-sized Canadian organizations. A total of 383 respondents across Canada participated in the survey, including 43 respondents from Quebec. According to the Compensation Planning Outlook 2017 survey, the average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Quebec is projected to be 2.5 per cent in 2017. This increase is 0.7 percentage points above the 1.8 per cent total inflation rate forecast for Quebec, and 0.3 percentage points above the projected increase for 2017 nation-wide (2.2 per cent).

Quebec’s economy has been advancing at a moderate pace over the last few years. The average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Quebec is projected to be 2.5 per cent in 2017.
