Compensation Planning Outlook is an annual survey conducted by The Conference Board of Canada on compensation and human practices in Canada. In June 2013, a questionnaire was sent to 1,693 predominantly large and medium-sized Canadian organizations operating in a variety of regions and sectors. A total of 411 respondents across Canada participated in the survey, including 194 from Ontario. According to the survey, the average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Ontario is forecast to be 2.6 per cent in 2014—somewhat lower than the projected national increase of 2.9 per cent.

Ontario’s economic performance was moderate in 2013, but the near-term prospects look more positive. The 2014 projected average salary increase for non-unionized employees is 2.6 per cent.
