This year’s CEO Challenge Top 10 report was in its final stages when the financial crisis exploded in September, so we asked the participating CEOs, chairmen, and presidents to revise their responses to the survey. This special Financial Crisis Edition highlights differences between the original responses and the updated responses, and compares results between the United States, Europe, and Asia. The responses show CEOs are focused on survival issues and effectively executing strategy in this new normal. Three new challenges were pushed into the Top 10 list: global economic performance; financial risk, including liquidity, volatility, and credit risk; and business confidence.
