Oil Shipments by Rail—With pipeline capacity in Western Canada insufficient to accommodate rising oil production, more oil exports are being shipped by rail.

Air Travel—Stimulated by new direct air connections and the continuing weakness of the loonie, the number of overseas passengers enplaned and deplaned increased by 9.6 per cent last year, reaching a record high.
