Order Backlog—The current book-to-bill ratio has remained steady at around 1.2. With an order backlog equivalent to 29 months at current production rates, the industry is expected to see continued growth in the near and medium term

Exports—Aerospace exports have led export growth across the Canadian economy in the last couple of years. A weaker Canadian dollar, improving economic conditions, and expanding demand for aircraft should lead to continued growth for Canadian aerospace exports in the near term.

C Series—Bombardier’s CS100 aircraft has received certification from Transport Canada. With a current order backlog of 243 units and first deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2016, production is expected to ramp up in the coming years
