The Canadian Alliance for Sustainable Health Care (CASHC) was created to address the widening sustainability gap between government budgets and Canada’s heath care spending requirements through informed dialogue and consensus for reform and action.

This compendium report summarizes and synthesizes CASHC’s contributions in its first mandate, assesses the extent to which CASHC’s research and activities have filled health system sustainability knowledge and practice gaps, articulates key outstanding research questions and areas for further investigation, identifies key opportunities to improve CASHC and optimize its impact, and sets a framework within which CASHC will function in the coming years.
