Entrepreneur & Investor Immigration

While Canada has welcomed business immigrants since 1978, it has struggled to achieve success in this field for a variety of reasons. Recognizing that business immigration has the potential to support Canada’s economic development, The Conference Board of Canada has produced webinars, research, and a Summit on how Canada can enhance business immigration’s economic benefits, with more on the way.

Over the course of 2018–19, we are hosting several webinars and the Entrepreneur & Investor Immigration Summit 2018. We are also completing research reports outlining suggestions for improvement to Canada’s business immigration programs. The first research report will focus on entrepreneur immigration while the second will focus on investor immigration. In addition, we are producing a third report that will summarize the key recommendations made at our 2018 Summit.

The three reports are funded by a range of public and private sector organizations. Funders are provided with the opportunity to offer their suggestions on the scope of our research and comment on the draft reports, however, as an evidence-based, nonpartisan, and independent organization, we are arriving at our own findings and conclusions.
