Senior Manager, Marketing

The Marketing Division of The Conference Board of Canada currently has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and highly skilled Marketer to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a Senior Manager with B2B experience and proven ability to generate demand and engagement with marketing campaigns that deliver against set KPIs.

Our ideal candidate… will be responsible for developing and implementing Account Based Marketing and Demand Generation strategies in Canada, building relevant plans that engage the consumer and accelerate the continued success of The Conference Board of Canada. A strong digital background will be necessary to manage an annual integrated marketing plan consisting of email marketing, SEM, display advertising and social media.

We are a virtual organization and as a remote worker you must be comfortable and able to work 100 per cent of the time from a home office. To be successful as a remote worker you need to have a self-starter attitude, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be a proactive communicator. Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working/business hours is a requirement of this role.

About the Role

Some of the things you will do every day:

  • Lead and coach the Demand Generation Marketing team, consisting of one Marketing Manager and two Marketing Specialists
  • Develop and oversee the integrated marketing campaigns for new product releases, including research centres, conferences, and reports
  • Define key customer audiences for product groups and create the optimum strategy to reach and engage those audiences. Experience with SEM, personalization and marketing automation is critical
  • Collaborate with Sales and relevant business lines to establish and build our Account Based Marketing program
  • Work with media agencies to design and track media campaigns that align to the strategy and deliver against KPIs
  • Work closely with content developers, Lifecycle Marketing and Communications teams to build high quality marketing content, creative assets and multi-media collateral for different audiences
  • Review campaign analytics to identify areas of success and areas of opportunity. Embed key drivers success into future planning
  • Provide clear and relevant performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Guide brand positioning activities of new products, and oversee brand compliance and updates
  • Manage a detailed marketing budget for campaigns.

About You

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum eight years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience with strategic planning for marketing campaigns with a strong focus on digital channels and email automation (Marketo experience is an asset)
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Progressive leadership and management experience with a proven ability to manage close relationships with direct reports, agency partners, and internal teams that drive business results
  • Willingness to embrace change and adapt to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity in your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Commitment to producing high quality work and demonstrating professional values in all aspects of work and interactions with colleagues and customers
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
