Jody Whitney

Senior Strategist, Indigenous Collaboration

Since joining Enbridge in March of 2004, Jody’s primary accountability has been building and maintaining strategic Indigenous relationships in the interests of both new projects and existing operations across the enterprise. More recently, Jody has assumed the role of the PACS Project Manager for the Indigenous Employment and Inclusion Initiative designed to deliver a focused effort to diversify the company by removing barriers to Indigenous hiring and improving employee retention.

Jody attended Arizona State University where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in political Science and a Masters of Science in Justice Studies with a thesis concentration on Sustainable Development in Indigenous Nations. She shared her time between Phoenix and the Navajo Reservation while attending university. She is passionate about building positive relationships for mutual benefit, finding consensus and creating opportunities for Enbridge’s ongoing evolution around diversity and inclusion.

Honouring her traditional Tsuu T’ina teachings, Jody remains committed to lifelong learning (Dagunit’ina) and protecting our lands (Nihinisk’a) and relations (Sinajunagha) for generations to come. This is what continues to drive her work with Enbridge today.
