| Unfortunately this report grossly oversimplifies the issues with blending ethanol with gasoline. It does not sound like the authors actually talked to anyone that actually does this. It also incorrectly concludes that the "over-blending" is due to Ethanol's high octane quality. The description of spark knock is incorrect. Promotes mid level blends but does not indicate that they are incompatible with over 93% of the existing on the road fleet. |
