Sedentary work leads to obesity and other health issues.  Doing overtime at a computer sight is a slow death.  I sit on an exercise ball now, get up and walk 2 minutes every hour.  Watch what I eat and love what I do.  There is no excuse not to move the body attached to my brain no matter what I make think or do.

As a former Recreation Therapist I know the value in moving or losing function.  With our current workforce culture, many of us are spending more time sitting at desks in front of computers.  This is not a healthy way to work, or live.  I am glad attention is being given to this issue with suggested solutions.

This is an important topic and it's good to see more attention and research on the benefits. It's a great report that goes into good detail and strategies.

The report provided many valuable examples of how workplaces can promote wellness and encourage their employees to be more active.

Compelling report. The phenomenon of inactivity is very well explained, and the solutions proposed are simple and applicable in most work environments.

It's an excellent guidebook for the Human Resources Management.  Health is a big concern to the employees and management.  I would share this report with my colleagues and hope we can add more physical activities in our workplace in this New Year.

An excellent source of information that I plan to use in promoting more physical activity at work. The approach that we're considering to address the physical inactivity is to try to create healthy desks, where people will be able to execute low intensity physical activities, either by standing, walking or biking. Thank you!!!

Thanks for this research, we have begun as a society to sit more and more, and sitting is the new smoking!

There are some good nuggets there to take to our training departments as well as integrate into our wellness strategy.

Excellent article, supports making changes in habits at all levels to support employees being physically active both at work and home.  We are moving into a new space that will have a gym across the hall, and wide hallways for walking.  As we move into the new space I can see that we have the opportunity to encourage new behaviours at break time by taking active breaks at the leadership level.  thank you.

Informative article providing both factual and creative methods for improving PA levels in the workplace.   In my view regulatory considerations should be imposed as mandatory wellness programs should be the norm.

Excellent report with great examples for how workplaces have addressed the subject area.  More of these types of reports would be appreciated.
