Relying on an annual survey of Canadian CIOs, the Canadian CIO Outlook describes and discusses current challenges and opportunities senior IT executives face, and the skills, tools, and strategies they use to achieve success in priority areas. This year’s report identifies the Canadian CIO Outlook 2018–19 survey’s five key findings, which relate to time management, CIO skill deficits, the pace of change, IT budget shortages, and employee skills shortages. This 2018–19 report also identifies the current and emerging trends, issues, and priorities facing Canadian CIOs. As well, it analyzes current trends against those of last year’s survey, and respondents’ expectations for future trends.
