About
Silvester Komlodi is the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Government of Manitoba. With extensive experience across government sectors, Silvester previously served as the Associate Deputy Minister of Health and held senior leadership roles in fiscal management and capital planning within the Treasury Board Secretariat and other roles in the Finance department.
Silvester’s career has spanned various management and analytical roles in the federal and provincial public service and Crown utility levels, focusing on immigration policy, energy policy, and federal-provincial and international relations. He currently serves on board appointments as a non-voting member of the Deposit Guarantee Corporation of Manitoba, and the Teachers’ Retirement Allowances Fund and the Civil Service Superannuation Board investment committee. Additionally, he volunteers and has served as the Prairies Committee Chair for the McCall MacBain Scholars at McGill University.
Silvester has also served on the boards of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, TD Bank’s Friends of the Environment Foundation, and the Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto.
