About

Kevin McCort was appointed President and CEO of Vancouver Foundation in September 2013, bringing with him a wealth of energy and over 35 years of experience as a respected leader in the international development community.

He previously served for six years as President and CEO of CARE Canada in Ottawa, co-founded the Humanitarian Coalition in 2005, is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He has served on numerous boards, including Imagine Canada, Community Foundations of Canada and the B.C Unclaimed Property Society.

Kevin was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013) and was named as one of the top twelve leaders in the non-profit and foundations category for the Top 500 Business Leaders in British Columbia (2021, 2022, 2023). He currently serves as sector co-chair of the Advisory Committee on the Charitable Sector for the Canada Revenue Agency and on Carleton University’s National Advisory Committee to the Masters in Philanthropy and Non-Profit Leadership program.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science (Specialist/Honours) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University, and recently obtained the ICD.D designation.
