About

Helen brings three decades of investment industry experience to her role as a board member of The Conference Board of Canada. This has included managing and leading several Canadian and global investment portfolios, teams and operations including a $100 billion global public equity investment operation in her most recent role as Executive Vice President, Head of Public Equity Markets at Caisse de dépôt et Placement du Québec. At CDPQ, she chaired numerous investment committees and was also a member of the Quebec Investment Committee and as well as the Executive Committee.

She began her investment career at the Montreal Exchange followed by 15 years with the Canadian National Investment Division, where she managed the Canadian equity and North American equity portfolios and was a member of the Division’s executive committee. Prior to joining CDPQ, she was Head of Canadian Equities and a Partner at Jarislowsky Fraser, where she served on the Investment Strategy Committee.

Her years of community service and board experience have included serving on the Board of the Canadian Coalition of Good Governance, Co-chairing the Investor Leadership Network CIO Roundtable on Diversity and Inclusion and serving as a board member and Investment Committee Chair of the Douglas Hospital Foundation.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia University, is a CFA charter holder, and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors’ ICD.D designation.
