About

Bruce Simpson is a lawyer and business leader deeply committed to human rights and sustainability. He is a Partner at AgeTech Capital, a venture capital and social impact fund investing in technology which enables healthier, wealthier and more fulfilling aging- solving the challenges of and unlocking opportunities for older adults.

As an ESG expert, he is also a Senior Advisor to several startups providing new solutions to environmental and social challenges and has published frequently on this topic.

Bruce is a Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey where he worked for more than 33 years in New York, Paris and Toronto. He led the Canadian practice, then convened the firm’s global operations practice, delivering client impact across all sectors. Bruce then led McKinsey’s Tech/Innovation incubator – a VC approach that funded, and incubated startups inside McKinsey, leveraging the firm’s access to leading companies and go-to-market channels, to help them rapidly scale up.

He has also served on the Canadian Boards of Catalyst, the Trans Canada Trail, the Hospital for Sick Children, and the Smart Prosperity Institute and is currently global Vice Chair of Human Rights Watch.

Bruce holds a BA and an MA in law from Cambridge University and an MBA and an MA in international studies from Wharton Business School and the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
