Andrea Nicholls is a Canadian and US CPA, CA and is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Dentons Canada LLP. Andrea leads the Canada Region Finance Team, comprised of over 100 finance professionals throughout the country. She has responsibility for the firm’s finance strategy and operations.

Andrea is a seasoned finance professional with expertise in both private and public companies across various sectors. This has included work with GE Capital, Otéra Capital (a subsidiary of Caisse de Dépôt du Québec), Triton Digital and Metso Corporation and has significant cross-border experience.

She has more than a decade of senior external audit experience at PwC Montreal, where she started her career, leading the audit of several public companies.

Andrea sat on the Board of Directors of HSBC Bank Canada until March of 2024 when the bank was purchased by RBC. She currently sits on the boards of Centraide de Grand Montréal (United Way Montréal) the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the McConnell Foundation and is a member of the audit committee of both organizations. She was also a member of the Advisory Board Subcommittee – EDI at Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University and the McConnell Foundation.

Andrea has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, has taken the Canadian Securities course and has obtained both the ICD.D and GCB.D designations.
