Roger Francis is the Director for the Sustainability Knowledge Area at The Conference Board of Canada. He is responsible for all the sustainability research and convening activities for the group. Together with his team, Roger aims to contribute valuable insights to Canadian organizations and governments, as Canada transitions to its ambition of net-zero emissions by 2050.
Roger has over 25 years of senior corporate-relations experience. Prior to joining The Board, he was Managing Director of a consultancy specializing in engagement, issues management, reputing, and business processes for clients in the resource, chemical and health sectors.
In his spare time, Roger is an inveterate reader of classics. The feeling of a real book gets him excited, the paper, the smell, the binding. Besides reading, Roger loves to fish for trout in a mountain stream or go for a hike in a high mountain vale.
Roger holds a BA, with a major in sociology and a minor in cultural anthropology.
