Julie Duval is the Chief Financial Officer at The Conference Board of Canada. She leads the Finance & Accounting team, the Information Technology team, as well as CBoC’s Project Management Office. As CFO, Julie provides financial strategy recommendations, oversees all financial decisions around budgeting and auditing, implements strategies to improve financial performance, and manages CBoC’s IT infrastructure and security programs.
Julie joined the Conference Board as the Financial Controller of the Finance & Accounting team in 2015 and became the company’s CFO in 2018. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting management. Before joining CBoC, Julie was the Director of Financial Reporting and later the interim Vice-president of Finance at Minto Group.
Outside of the Conference Board, Julie is an avid traveller, with more than 30 countries under her belt. While living in Paris (France) for two and a half years, she further developed her adoration for wine and would love to become a sommelier later in life. Besides her passion for the “elixir of life”, Julie enjoys reading mystery novels or watching the latest reality TV show.
Julie holds a BCom with a specialization in Accounting, and a diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University, and a Chartered Accountant Designation.
