Dr. Jenna Hennebry (Ph.D.) is an internationally recognized expert on labour migration, with
specific expertise in migrant worker rights, labour migration governance and gender. She is an
Associate Professor at Wilfrid Laurier’s Balsillie School of International Affairs and the
Department of Communication Studies. She is also the Associate Dean of the School of
International Policy and Governance and Coordinator of the Women and Gender Studies
Program at Laurier. Hennebry is a member of the Canadian Council for Refugees
Subcommittee on Migrant Workers, the International Organization for Migration
(IOM)’s Migration Research Leaders’ Syndicate, the UN Expert Working Group on Women’s
Human Rights in the Global Compact for Migration, and the UN Migration Network’s Working
Group on Bilateral Labour Migration Agreements. She is co-founder of the International
Migration Research Centre (www.imrc.ca ), the Migrant Worker Health Project and the Migrant
Worker Health Expert Working Group (www.migrantworker.ca).
