London’s economy is forecast to increase by 2.4 per cent this year and 2.0 per cent in 2018, which would extend the streak of growth of at least 2 per cent to four years.
Employment is expected increase by 1.9 per cent this year and 1.0 per cent next year, more than making up for a loss of 1.4 per cent in 2016.
The unemployment rate should steadily decline over the next five years.
