Lois Mainville is an Economist in the Provincial and Territorial Forecasting Team, contributing to the national, provincial and territorial forecast products. Lois manages the forecast for the mining sector as well as the commercial services, finance, insurance and information technology sectors. She is also responsible for the demographics forecast. Lois monitors the provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. She also works on financed research projects in English and French.
Prior to joining the Board in 2014, Lois worked as a pricing and reimbursement analyst in the pharmaceutical industry. She holds a M.A. in Economics from Université Laval where she evaluated the education and labour outcomes of Québec's daycare subsidies. She completed her undergraduate studies with Honours in Economics at the University of Ottawa. Lois is currently working on a double-certificate program in Data Science and Analytics at York University.
