Sam Goucher is an economist in the Provincial and Territorial Forecast Team. In addition to custom research project work, Sam is responsible for monitoring and forecasting production and investment levels in Canada's energy sector. He is also responsible for generating forecasts for the provinces of Alberta and New Brunswick.
Prior to joining the Conference Board of Canada in 2017, Sam worked as an economist in the Fiscal Policy Division of the Department of Finance for the Government of New Brunswick, where he produced quarterly and annual forecasts as well as various economic impact analyses. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen's University and an undergraduate degree with Honours in Economics from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
