The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.

The Conference Board of Canada’s Index of Consumer Confidence rose 6.4 points in March, reaching 117.9 (2014 = 100). It was the third consecutive monthly increase for the index. Positive sentiment was broad-based, with the share of positive responses rising for all four questions.
