Stephen Spence is an economist with the Provincial Forecast team responsible for monitoring the economy of Québec, as well as the manufacturing, forestry, and fishing industries. Stephen is also responsible for the biannual forecast for Canada's three territories.
Prior to joining the Conference Board in 2016, Stephen completed a B.A. (Honours) in Economics at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB and a M.A. in Economics at Université Laval in Québec City, QC. During his studies, Stephen specialized in Labour Economics, Economic Policy, and Econometrics. After completing his Master's degree, Stephen worked Revenu Québec as a Research Analyst where he studied the economics of business tax compliance.
