Stefan Fournier is Associate Director, Northern and Aboriginal Policy with The Conference Board of Canada. Stefan's work in this role focuses on co-leading the Northern and Aboriginal Policy group, and chairing and managing the Conference Board's Council on Corporate Aboriginal Relations (CCAR) as well as its Centre for the North (CFN). He is also an accomplished researcher and policy analyst, and has a background in conducting workshops and fieldwork with Northern and Aboriginal communities. This background was acquired through projects on Impact Benefit Agreements (IBAs); economic development in northern and remote environments; Aboriginal youth health and wellness; infrastructure development and maintenance in and around northern Aboriginal communities; community resilience; and northern and rural housing. He holds a Masters of Arts in International Affairs with a focus on conflict resolution, and analysis from the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University.
