The Canadian economy is in its worst downturn in decades. Life across the country is at a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic and measures to control it. While the impacts are being felt everywhere, some cities are being hit harder than others.
Edmonton’s economy is set to power its way back to pre-pandemic levels by the end of the year, with real GDP growing by 6.3 per cent in 2021, as infections subside, vaccines are distributed, and economic activity intensifies.
