Who’s Doing What in the Canadian Health System

An Inventory of Research Organizations

To better understand how The Conference Board of Canada can help bring value to the national discussion on the sustainability of the health care system, we have prepared this inventory of organizations with research capacity related to health care delivery and policy. It is designed to help the Conference Board identify organizations with complementary research capacity, to help it avoid duplicating work, and to confirm that it can bring a unique perspective to this debate.

This inventory provides an overview of Canadian health care research, focusing on three interests: health economics research and modelling, operations management, and health human resources.

For each organization, we define its type; provide information on its mandate and main activities, largely extracted from public websites; and include contact information. We also describe its research interests and capacity.

Although our search was comprehensive, the inventory does not include all participants in the sector. It will continue to evolve, so we encourage you to send us feedback and information at
