2014 Event

Our panel of speakers discussed the issue of intergenerational communication and collaboration through the lens of diversity and other dynamics, and the best way to build on the strengths of everyone in the organization. The event had five main goals: to help organizations respond to demographic change; raising awareness of the fundamental changes as the population ages; exploring practical solutions for making the multigenerational workplace high performing; examining the “new retirement”; and releasing and discussing the Conference Board’s latest research on these issues.

Testimonials

“Truly impressed with the scope and range of the event. Great range of speakers and experts. I’ll be back.”

“Excellent event. Well sequenced with a wealth of knowledge and variety. An eye-opener and validating set of topics.”

“I really enjoyed the variety of speakers and their backgrounds. The conference itself was very well organized and executed—it was very helpful to receive the program at registration and that it was stuck to. Enjoyed the delegate participation aspect with the DOTS questionnaires. Engaging speakers and material covered. Had a great day, thank you!”

“As a Gen Y it was interesting to see how individuals my age are perceived by other generations. Great insight into how those I will be working with may thing (in general) and why it’s different from my perspective.”

“Thank you for the opportunity to share our goals, activities and dreams. The information provided by speakers today is very valuable to us as we develop more programs to engage older adults in the workplace and society in general. A whole-lotta-learning went on!”

“The sessions were very interesting in terms of reaching out and connecting to all the generations. While it was a very informative event where we got a glimpse of the different perspectives, CBOC was definitely able to deliver an interactive conference to relate to every attendee. It was a rewarding experience to witness an all-around presence across the generations. The sessions were able to resonate the questions and concerns I had before attending and even exceeded my own learning expectations. Definitely inspired me to move forward with my (future) HR career!”
