Anna Paluzzi, a chartered director, recognizes the challenges of boards in overseeing enterprise risk management. She conveys some of her director colleagues’ experiences and thoughts, and identifies the magnitude of responsibility that weighs on boards of directors.

Paul C. Godfrey, Kristina Narvaez, and John Bugalla provide some ideas on how to start ERM correctly and achieve its full potential. This means aligning strategic planning, ERM, and strategy execution. The authors emphasize the business practice of deliberation and action in managing risks and seizing opportunities.
