This three-part series looks at the theory and practice of using evidence, including HR metrics, to ensure that organizations make decisions that are most likely to support their organization’s strategies. The focus will be on the experience of Canadian organizations in the public and private sectors.

Jane has expertise as a policy analyst specializing in human resource development issues in Canada and internationally, and is a Credentialed Evaluator (Canadian Evaluation Society). She has twenty-five years’ experience in research and management on a variety of learning and development initiatives. Jane holds an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management and Development from the University of Manchester.

Lisa Irish, CHRL, owns and manages the HR Metrics Service, a Canadian business that offers clients the opportunity to demonstrate the value of their human resources by measuring and comparing the performance of their organization’s human capital. Lisa has 20 years’ experience working analytics and HR metrics benchmarking with Canadian organizations. Lisa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Brock University, and a Certificate in the Management of Human Resources from Niagara College.
