Michel J. Arsenault has obtained his Masters of Social Work from McGill University in Montreal and has worked in a clinical setting for over 30 years. He has worked as a counsellor, trauma debriefer, trainer and manager within Employee Assistance Program industry. Currently, Michel currently is the Clinical Director, Ontario Digital Clinical Services. Michel oversees the management of the counselling network in Ontario.

For close to 19 years, Michel has been helping organizations successfully manage issues related to transgender. He has provided consultation, coaching and education to companies in the financial, government, manufacturing, information technology and media sectors who are dealing with these issues. Michel was an on-camera expert in a video documentary called “Erica, a life in Transition”. This documentary explores the transition of a transgender person from the personal, family, work and community perspective. He has provided this specialized service in both Canada and Asia.

Michel presented a workshop on Managing Transgender in the workplace at the 23 rd annual Employee Assistance Society of North America in Las Vegas Nevada in April, 2011. He also provides ongoing training to the Morneau Shepell clinical network on this topic. In May of 2018. Michel was awarded, the Leadership Award of Excellence from the Employees Assistance Society of North America (EASNA) in recognition of his work in the area of Gender Diversity in the workplace.
