This presentation looks at the theory and practice of using evidence, including HR metrics, to ensure that organizations make decisions that are most likely to support their businesses’ strategies. In this webinar our presenters will focus on the experience of Canadian organizations in the public and private sectors. This webinar is the first in a series of three that will discuss the Canadian perspective of using the EBM approach.

Shannon’s team is focused on researching workforce strategies and analytics and the impact of a digital economy on Human Capital strategies and practices. Shannon holds an M. in Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.

About Jane

Jane has expertise as a policy analyst specializing in human resource development issues in Canada and internationally, and is a Credentialed Evaluator (Canadian Evaluation Society). She has twenty-five years’ experience in research and management on a variety of learning and development initiatives. Jane holds an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management and Development from the University of Manchester.

About Blake

Photo of Blake JelleyDr. Blake Jelley is an Associate Professor of Management in the Faculty of Business, University of Prince Edward Island, and is a Fellow of the Center for Evidence-Based Management and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources. Blake’s research interests include evidence-based management; management education; and the appraisal, prediction, and improvement of human performance. Blake holds a PhD in industrial-organizational psychology from Western University.
