Document Highlights

This eighth briefing is the final publication in a series on how the transition to a clean energy growth economy with lower GHG emissions will be financed. The series of briefings is intended to provide analysis and focus on the outcome—i.e., emissions reduction. This final briefing assesses and informs on the state of clean growth economy finance in today's world. It identifies eight areas where improved access to clean growth economy finance and risk management services will be critical to innovation by businesses, governments, and individual consumers—helping reduce their GHG emissions, and assisting them in adapting to ongoing practices and operations. This entire briefing series has identified a number of areas where deeper research is warranted. There is much to be learned from further detailed analysis of clean growth and emission reduction financing and risk management practice in Canada and elsewhere.
