Health and Safety Leadership Centre
The Conference Board’s Health and Safety Leadership Centre (HSLC) supports the continuous improvement of healthy and safe workplaces. It is founded on the principle that effective health and safety leadership is essential to the operation of a successful business.
Participation in the Health and Safety Leadership Centre (HSLC) allows business leaders, governments, and academics to exchange best practices within a learning community and demonstrate their commitment to enhancing employees’ physical, social, and mental well-being.
The Conference Board of Canada is dedicated to leading this group by:
- conducting research on health and safety
- collaborating and partnering with existing health and safety initiatives
- featuring success stories from leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety
“What makes Conference Board of Canada’s Health and Safety Leadership Centre powerful is that it connects industry leaders, law makers, and educators from various sectors. Sharing of information and lessons learned is fundamental towards achieving event-free workplace. Bruce Power is a strong believer in achieving excellence in safety through situational awareness and hazard recognition. Through Health and Safety Leadership Centre, we as industry leaders have the opportunity to share the positive stories of what has worked for us. As we learn from one another about what did or could happen, we become better at building safer and healthier workplaces”
