The monthly Index of consumer confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.

Document Highlights

The Conference Board of Canada’s Index of consumer confidence rose 8.4 points in May, reaching 120.4 (2014 =  100). Broad-based improvements drove the index’s rise. All provinces saw higher indexes, and all questions saw higher positive response rates.
