Presenting as a Leader®
A Humphrey Group Program offered by The Conference Board of Canada
Wednesday, March 28, 2018 • The Conference Board of Canada • 255 Smyth Road • Ottawa, ON
Preparation and confidence are the two key ingredients in the delivery of an engaging presentation. But not everyone is able to employ these tactics when called on to give a presentation.
Presenting as a Leader is a one-day workshop designed to help build the fundamental skills required to deliver persuasive and compelling presentations. The focused content provided in this intimate class, gives participants the tools and insights necessary to command the room, and influence an audience, by connecting confidence and content.
In this session, each participant will focus on an actual presentation they will be delivering in the future. The workshop will walk them through the development of the presentation outline, and give them an opportunity to test their new skills by delivering a portion of the presentation in an intimate environment.
Benefits of Attending:
- Learn how to develop compelling, audience -centered presentations that focus on engagement instead of a “data-dump”
- Develop core key messages that represent your individual presentation style and leadership thinking
- Understand and achieve an appropriate level of formality and tone for a given audience
- Deliver a confident leadership presence using body language, eye contact, pace, and expression
This program has been designed and is delivered by The Humphrey Group Inc., experts in leadership communications. Each participant will focus on an actual presentation they will be delivering in the future and during the program, will outline, create and deliver a part of their presentation.
