Mid-Sized Cities Outlook

The mid-sized cities outlook offers a historical economic portrait and a two-year economic forecast for Canada’s mid-sized cities. The report is released once a year and includes information on demographics, the housing market, the labour market and gross domestic product.

Cities covered in the report vary from year to year. Our 2018 report provides an economic forecast for the municipalities of Red Deer, Prince George, Brandon, and Timmins. It also includes historical GDP and employment data for 27 other mid-sized cities. Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Nanaimo, Sault Ste. Marie, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Miramichi and Rimouski have also been covered in previous versions of the report.
