The Centre for National Security (CNS) brings together executives from public and private sector organizations to help improve Canada’s ability to address national security and public safety challenges. The CNS works to make recommendations about and improve threat detection, response coordination, the free movement of low-risk people and trade, and communication with the public. The Council on Emergency Management (CEMT) is a national forum that focuses on effective operational practices and key strategic issues related to emergency management. The Council provides valuable networking, learning, and leadership development opportunities for individuals responsible for emergency management and operational continuity who are focused on maximizing resilience within their organizations. The Council also enables members to broaden their understanding of risk factors and to exchange insights. The Council for Security Executives (CFSE) is a national forum that provides valuable networking, learning, and leadership development opportunities for senior security executives focused on maximizing resilience within their organizations. The Council enables members to broaden their understanding of risk factors and to exchange insights. The Senior Executive Health and Safety Leadership Charter is an initiative that involves CEOs and other leaders focused on and dedicated to improving health and safety for their organizations and communities. The Charter provides a series of guiding principles in health and safety endorsed by an Executive, CEO, or Senior Official of their company, organization, association, or department. Leadership Charter signatories realize the vital link between a culture of health and safety and a successful organization, and are united in their vision and support for a safer, healthier, more prosperous Canada.
