Adam Fiser
Senior Research Associate

Adam is a graduate of Carleton University in Sociology and Journalism, and he earned his Ph.D. in The Knowledge Media Design Collaborative Program from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information. For the past several years Adam has been an Adjunct Instructor with the University of Toronto, a researcher with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University. Kala Pendakur

Kala Pendakur
Research Associate II, Northern and Aboriginal Policy

Kala holds a Masters in Economics and Development Studies from McGill University, and an Honours Bachelors of Social Science in International Economics and Development from the University of Ottawa. During her studies, Kala worked on such issues as human capital accumulation, income inequality and the role of social capital in the Northern Canadian economy.  Her expertise in these areas correspond well with her role on the Northern and Aboriginal Policy team, where she is working on issues such as community well-being, educational attainment and labour force participation—seen primarily through a quantitative lens. Her background in economic development has given her a thorough understanding of how data management supports a holistic approach to policy development.
