| Len Coad
Director, Energy, Environment and Transportation Policy
403-221-3041 Len joined The Conference Board of Canada in 2006 in the Public Policy division. His duties include managing the Energy, Environment, and Technology Policy research program. Len’s current focus areas include clean energy technologies, climate change, climate change adaptation, water governance, sustainability, environmental benchmarking, energy policy, and effective regulation. Prior to joining the Conference Board, Len worked in a variety of research, government, and commercial roles in the energy industry. He has extensive experience in energy forecasting, competitor analysis, policy development, and energy modelling. Len has produced energy policy studies, regulatory studies, and project evaluations for various regions in North America, as well as internationally. He holds an honours degree in economics and a master’s degree in operations research. | | Vijay Gill
Principal Research Associate
416-350-8872 Vijay’s areas of research include transportation and infrastructure performance measurement, supply chain costs, and regulatory issues. Since joining The Conference Board of Canada, he has produced research reports on infrastructure efficiency, alternative fuel vehicles, and grain transportation performance. Prior to joining the Conference Board, he was a senior economist with the Economic Analysis Policy Branch at Transport Canada. His work there included price and productivity performance measurement of transportation modes in Canada and the development of fully allocated transportation costs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. | | Gail Beattie

Her duties include managing the Business Council for Sustainability, the Centre for Clean Energy, and the Centre for Transportation Infrastructure. Prior to joining the Conference Board, Gail founded and operated Red Quill Intelligence Marketing Inc. The firm conducted market research, data analysis, and business development for a cross-section of industries. Gail established all systems and procedures and orchestrated the business growth and development. Gail holds a Certificate of Human Resource Management from Ryerson University and a master’s degree in leadership from the University of Guelph. | | Sarah Dimick

Drawing on her strengths as a researcher and writer, her varied work experiences have put her in constant contact with clients and peers, where she has established a reputation for innovative problem-solving and ensuring client satisfaction. Sarah has worked in a number of different roles, including researching and writing, teaching, administration, and sales. She has taken on leadership roles in the private and not-for-profit sectors, as well as in a university setting. Sarah holds an honours degree in law and political science and a Master of Arts degree in legal studies. | | Ross Prusakowski

613-526-3090 ext. 254 Ross joined The Conference Board of Canada in 2012 as a Research Associate in the Energy, Environment and Transportation Policy group. Prior to joining the Conference Board, Ross worked as a Research Analyst/Economist at the Mining Industry Human Resources Council. His work there included the development of labour market forecasts and production of custom research reports. He also previously worked as an economist for Alberta’s Department of Finance. Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and history from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa. | | Susan Lapointe
Meeting Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
613-526-3090 ext. 382 Susan joined The Conference Board of Canada in 1990 and has worked in a variety of roles and departments. In her current role as Senior Meetings Coordinator and Administrative Assistant, she is responsible for providing support for the Business Council for Sustainability, the Centre for Clean Energy, and the Centre for Transportation Infrastructure. Prior to joining the Conference Board, Susan worked as an executive assistant at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. |
