Sign post is a set of online competency assessment and talent management resources and tools for internationally educated professionals (IEPs), in Canada, seeking careers in the financial services sector (accounting, banking, insurance, investment/securities, and wealth management). The tools and resources are also designed to help employers, immigrant service agencies, and learning service providers enhance the integration and professional development of internationally educated professional talent in the financial services sector.

Sign Post is a collaborative project initiated by Ryerson University and The Conference Board of Canada, and funded by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, Ontario.

Skills Credentialing Tool for Individuals—A free on-line tool
The Skills Credentialing Tool for Individuals is a self-assessment and portfolio-building tool for students, employees and job-seekers. This tool helps individuals self-assess their essential skills and employability attitudes and behaviours; and create an evidence-based portfolio that they can share with an employment counsellor, instructor and/or workplace supervisor.

Skills Credentialing Tool for Organizations—Available for purchase
The Skills Credentialing Tool for Organizations (SCT Tool) is a "fee-based" on-line tool that helps employers work with employees to assess and develop employees' Essential Skills and employability attitudes and behaviours for high performance, leading to increased productivity in the workplace. The SCT Tool offers the employee an opportunity to have their experience recognized via a certificate or credential. Managers have a framework to talk about the skills, attitudes and behaviours they expect from their employees and offers the employee and employer the opportunity to clarify and document their activities. The SCT Tool creates open lines of communication about workplace expectations and engages employees to reflect on personal performance. This on-line tool has also been successfully utilized in high schools for co-op placements.

The Learning Performance Index: Measuring the Learning in Organizations - Free Self Assessment Tool 
To help firms determine their profile as a learning organization, The Conference Board of Canada developed its Learning Performance Index (LPI). This employee-based, diagnostic tool allows executives to evaluate, benchmark and enhance the learning occurring in their organization. The LPI leads to better alignment of learning with business objectives and improves organizational outcomes.

Innovation Skills Profile (July 2003) - Free Download
The Innovation Skills Profile isolates the unique contribution that an individual's skills, attitudes, and behaviours make to an organization's innovation performance by focusing on creativity and continuous improvement skills, risk taking skills, relationship building skills, and implementation skills. The Innovation Skills Profile is designed for employers and employees. It is relevant to all organizations–regardless of size, function, or sector. The Innovation Skills Profile can also be applied beyond the workplace by educators and students. 

General Innovation Skills Aptitude Test (GISAT) - Free Download
The General Innovation Skills Aptitude Test (GISAT) raises awareness and understanding around the skills, attitudes, and behaviours individuals and organizations need to be innovative—as listed in the Innovation Skills Profile (ISP).

By identifying and then assessing the innovation skills found in individuals and required by organizations GISAT assists workplaces and individuals to better match their innovation skills capacities with their innovation needs.
