The Centre for Food is a three-year initiative of research and dialogue to help address one of the great issues facing our country today—food. Food impacts Canadians in an extraordinary range of ways. It affects our lives, our health, our jobs, and our economy. A Report Card on Canada—Assesses Canada’s quality of life compared to that of its peer countries. This Centre will provide insights into how Canada can best address the enormous challenges and opportunities in its Northern regions. The Conference Board of Canada is establishing the Centre for Business Innovation (CBI) as a five-year initiative to help bring about major improvements in firm-level business innovation in Canada. The purpose of CASHC is to provide Canadian business leaders and policy makers with insightful, forward-looking, quantitative analysis of the sustainability of the Canadian health-care system and all of its facets. The Saskatchewan Institute is a major, new, multi-year initiative of The Conference Board of Canada that will focus exclusively on issues relevant to Saskatchewan. This initiative actively engages renowned scholars in The Conference Board of Canada’s advanced research programs, where they will conduct research on issues of national importance that will contribute to improving Canada’s future. A three-year program of research and dialogue designed to help leading decision makers advance Canada on a path of national competitiveness. A multi-year program of research and dialogue designed to help leading decision-makers chart a policy course to improve Canada’s standard of living and position within North America and the world (completed in 2007).
