Logo Competition

The Conference Board of Canada has invited selected schools to help us engage young people in Saskatchewan in the design of a logo for the Saskatchewan Institute. We would like to benefit from the vision of the youth who will live through the exciting years ahead.

Students are invited to submit rough logo designs that conform to three criteria: (1) descriptive of Saskatchewan (2), simple, and (3) visionary. They can be developed with pencil and paper or using digital technology.

The Selected Schools

The Conference Board has selected four schools for participation in the competition. School administrators and teachers will facilitate students in submitting rough logo designs.

The Investors Choice

Investors supporting the Saskatchewan Institute will vet the submitted logos, and through a voting process, narrow the selection down to the top 10 rough logo designs.

Professionalization of the Design

Students at SIAST’s Applied/Visual Media Program will professionalize these ten rough logo designs, arriving at final designs.

Conference Board Review

The Conference Board of Canada will select three-to-five final designs.

The Voting Process

The final three-to-five designs will be published on The Conference Board of Canada’s website for an open vote.

Announcement of the Winning Design

The winning design will be unveiled at the Saskatchewan Forum on May 14-15, 2013 in Saskatoon.
