Meetings/Events

Members of the Centre for Transportation Infrastructure (CTI) meet two to three times per year. Each meeting features expert speakers on topics of interest to members, as well as facilitated discussions and networking breaks.

The meetings provide a forum for the frank exchange of ideas between business and government representatives.

Meeting agendas are developed with input from CTI members and guided by the Centre’s advisory committee. Meetings provide ample opportunities for discussion and interaction.

Meeting themes are aligned with CTI research projects, on topics such as:

  • securing private and public financing for transportation infrastructure;
  • prioritizing transportation infrastructure upgrades and investments;
  • economic, social, and environmental impacts and benefits;
  • innovative governance solutions;
  • designing transportation services to curb congestion and promote efficiency;
  • measures for tracking the progress toward more efficient and effective transportation networks;
  • improving the quality and efficiency of service delivery;
  • promoting the competitiveness of Canadian trade corridors;
  • aligning transportation infrastructure projects with other policy areas.
