About the Centre
The purpose of the Centre for National Security (CNS) is to: - Bring together public and private sector executives to work together to improve the detection of threats, coordination and interoperability of response, the free movement of low-risk people and trade, and communication with the public.
- Build insight, through dialogue and research, about how to improve Canada’s national security by capitalizing on advanced technologies and practices.
- Provide a forum for learning that draws on the experience and knowledge of members, as well as Conference Board experts and others.
- Improve the capacity of each member organization to contribute to the identification, mitigation and response to national security threats.
Who Should Join
CNS brings together senior executives from a variety of organizations with national security mandates such as: - Federal and provincial departments and agencies;
- Municipalities;
- Research organizations;
- Energy and utility companies;
- Financial institutions;
- Communications providers;
- Health care institutions and associations;
- Pharmaceutical firms
- Transportation companies; and
- Computer hardware and software manufacturers.
