Customer Service Coordinator

The Conference Board of Canada is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to join the Convening team. This role will support all convening products offered by the Board.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this is a full-time permanent opportunity located in Ottawa and is available immediately.

Principal Duties

  • Process all registrations for all convening products (i.e. conferences, workshops, seminars, special events, webinars, etc.)
  • Provide registration assistance and related customer service support for all convening line of business products (including cancellations, transfers, replacements, etc.)
  • Ensure balance between speed and accuracy in registration/database information/input
  • Provide reports on all convening products (weekly registration reports, post event reports etc.)
  • Report on, monitor, and track outstanding invoices for all convening products
  • Respond to all customer and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Support team with other tasks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a professional environment in a customer services role. Direct experience with event registration process is a definite asset.
  •  Fluently bilingual in English and French is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and commitment to producing high quality work under deadlines.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Efficient execution of tasks in a dynamic, fast paced work environment with the ability to apply critical thinking skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task – work on multiple products simultaneously and maintain professional demeanor under pressure and deadlines.
